Effortless loading for your folding power wheelchair

Effortless loading for your folding power wheelchair

Folding power wheelchairs such as those from Ergoflix, Eloflex, Freedom Chair, Volksrolli or Immermobil are becoming increasingly popular. They combine comfort with flexibility, but the motor and battery often add weight that makes it difficult to load them into the car using traditional ramps.

That is exactly why we developed the Ladeboy for folding wheelchairs: You fold up your wheelchair, move it toward the Ladeboy and push the lever up – the system loads the wheelchair safely and effortlessly into the trunk. No lifting and no outside help required.

Suitable for almost all common folding wheelchair models on the market.

Suitable vehicles: Almost any vehicle.

Variants: Standard for wheelchairs up to 20 kg or Maximum for wheelchairs up to 50 kg.

Ladeboy for unfolded wheelchairs

The most comfortable solution for people with residual walking ability and their companions.

The most comfortable solution for people with residual walking ability and their companions.

The Ladeboy loads your wheelchair unfolded into the trunk – conveniently at the push of a button, without lifting, bending or folding. Ideal when you can still walk a few steps to the rear of the vehicle or when a companion is loading the wheelchair. The Ladeboy is compatible with almost all manual wheelchairs – including those with add-on drives such as e-fix or e-motion – without the need to remove the battery before loading.

Selected folding power wheelchairs such as the Ergoflix LX can also be loaded unfolded.

Suitable vehicles: High-roof wagons and vans.

Variants: Standard for wheelchairs up to 20 kg or Maximum for wheelchairs up to 50 kg.

Liftfriend – space-saving loading

Liftfriend – space-saving loading

Space-saving wheelchair loading for high trunks

Space-saving wheelchair loading for high trunks

The Liftfriend loads your wheelchair vertically into the trunk, leaving you with maximum storage space for luggage and travel essentials – perfect for high-roof wagons, vans and minivans.

The Liftfriend's particular strength: It is compatible with almost all folding wheelchairs, including models with add-on drives such as e-fix or e-motion.

Rigid-frame wheelchairs can also be safely stowed thanks to its vertical design.

Note: The Liftfriend was previously sold under the name Ladeboy S. It is the same proven system – now with a new name that more clearly conveys its space-saving loading method.*

Suitable vehicles: High-roof wagons and vans.

Variants: Standard for wheelchairs up to 20 kg or Maximum for wheelchairs up to 38 kg.

Scooterboy for electric mobility scooters and heavy wheelchairs

Scooterboy for electric mobility scooters and heavy wheelchairs

Our most powerful loading solution: For mobility aids weighing up to 180 kg.

Our most powerful loading solution: For mobility aids weighing up to 180 kg.

The Scooterboy is our most powerful wheelchair loading system: It conveniently loads electric mobility scooters, e-scooters and heavy power wheelchairs into the trunk at the push of a button, up to a weight of 180 kg. Thanks to various platform sizes, the Scooterboy fits in almost all high-roof wagons, vans and minivans.

Suitable for mobility aids with a length of up to 145 cm.

Important note on installation: The Scooterboy is the only one of our loading systems that is not reversible. To ensure the stability required for loading heavy loads, the system is firmly bolted to the body. We therefore recommend the installation of the Scooterboy particularly for privately owned vehicles – for leased vehicles, installation should be coordinated in advance with the leasing company.

Suitable vehicles: High-roof wagons and vans.

Variants: From 165–180 kg wheelchair weight, depending on platform length.

FAQ

FAQ

FAQ

How long does the installation of the wheelchair loading aids take?

In general, the Ladeboy and Liftfriend can be installed within 4–8 hours. For the Scooterboy, an installation time of between 8 and 16 hours should be expected.

Will the health insurance cover the costs of a wheelchair loading system?

Yes, in many cases cost coverage is possible – depending on your personal situation. In Germany, three main options come into consideration:

  1. Motor vehicle assistance for occupational participation – if you need the car for work or training. Depending on your employment history, the Federal Employment Agency, the pension insurance provider or the integration office is responsible. The disability-related additional equipment (e.g. Ladeboy) is usually covered regardless of income.

  2. Social participation under Section 83 SGB IX – if there is no employment or training relationship. In this case, social welfare offices or supra-local providers are usually responsible. Income and assets are assessed.

  3. Foundations and associations – as a supplementary option if funding via benefits providers is not possible or insufficient.

Important: Submit the application before placing the order – only after written approval should you commission binding orders or conversions.

We are happy to clarify with you in a non-binding consultation which option is suitable for you. → More on financing assistance

How reliable are your wheelchair loading systems?

Our wheelchair loading systems are among the most reliable on the market. With up to 25 years of practical experience and proven technology used thousands of times over, we offer robust, extremely low-maintenance solutions that often remain in use trouble-free for over a decade. Quality "Made in Germany" – you can rely on it. Even under extreme conditions – whether snow, heat or daily strain – our technology works reliably. For many of our customers, it is a trusted companion in everyday life. Occasionally, we still see fully functioning devices today with a serial number from 2005.

How can I find out whether my wheelchair is compatible with your system?

Compatibility depends on two factors: your vehicle and your wheelchair. The quickest way to check suitability is via our free online check: Simply select your vehicle and wheelchair model and instantly see which of our loading systems is suitable for your combination.

Is installation also possible on leased or company vehicles?

Yes, our wheelchair loading systems in the trunk are easily suitable for leased and company vehicles. The installation is carried out gently and without permanent interventions in the vehicle structure. The system can be fully removed when the vehicle is returned, without leaving any visible traces. Since no TÜV inspection is required and the vehicle registration remains unaffected, there is generally nothing to prevent use under a leasing contract. Important: This does not apply to the Scooterboy. A TÜV inspection is required for this model.

Where can I have the installation carried out near me?

We have a dense network of excellent partners all over Europe who can install our systems perfectly. On request, we will be happy to refer you to our partners.

How many seats are retained after installation?

With the Ladeboy in the trunk, all seats can usually be retained in longer vehicles. Optionally, we offer a telescopic retractor, which further increases the chances of keeping all seats. In smaller vehicles, the rear bench often has to be folded down, leaving only one seat on the back bench. With the Scooterboy, it also depends on the length of the car and the selected platform length of the device. With a 110 cm platform length, there are many vehicles in which a total of 5 seats can be retained. With a 150 cm platform length, the vehicle selection is considerably smaller.

Can I also install a wheelchair loading system in a hybrid or electric vehicle?

Yes, this is possible with most vehicles. As soon as you tell us your vehicle model, we will of course inform you of any possible exceptions.

Does the wheelchair need to be adapted or modified for the installation?

Your mobility is our focus – we, or rather our systems, adapt to your wheelchair, not the other way around. In most cases, no adjustments or modifications to the wheelchair are required. Our systems are flexible and can easily accommodate standard wheelchairs, folding wheelchairs and most wheelchair drive systems such as e-fix or e-motion. If you want to be on the safe side, the best thing to do is send us a picture of your wheelchair via WhatsApp (+49 7433 8081).

How much do your systems cost?

The exact price always depends on the specific device and the labor rates of the installation partner. To give you a rough idea: The Ladeboy for the trunk ranges between 5,000 and 10,000 euros. The Scooterboy ranges between 6,000 and 14,000 euros.

Where can I see the Ladeboy, Liftfriend and Scooterboy in action?

For example on our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@LadeboyRauschTechnik) or on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/rauschtechnik/). We are also present at several trade fairs throughout the year and have numerous partners with demonstration devices available on site.
